| Dr. Butler is fellowship trained in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, and works with a full range of orthopedic patients. In addition, he has special skills in the reconstruction of shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles, using arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Butler's sport medicine activities include being Medical Director for the Center of Sports Medicine at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (a center that provides athletic training services and testing to local schools), developing a sports analysis laboratory and providing training sessions for Cycle Oregon participants. With patients, he is interested in making sure that questions are answered fully and that the mechanics and physiology of injuries are clearly explained. Dr. Butler is married with three children and enjoys cycling and wind surfing for recreation. |
