O+FS Welcomes Dr. Elizabeth G. Lieberman

Oregon native, Dr. Elizabeth G. Lieberman, M.D. attended the University of Southern California where she received a bachelor of science in Kinesiology with a minor in comparative Literature. During undergrad, she was an Athletic Trainer for USC’s football team where she shadowed the team doctors, thus sparking her interest in orthopaedic surgery. She returned to Portland where she completed her medical degree and orthopaedic surgery residency at OHSU. After residency, Dr. Lieberman completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Hip Preservation at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Lieberman’s goal is to understand each patient as an individual and to help them understand their diagnosis and treatment options so they feel included in their care. She believes, “You’re never too young or too old to have a joint replacement – It’s a matter of figuring out the safest and most effective way to help people maintain active, pain-free lifestyles”.

She is thrilled to be back home in Oregon, serving patients in the community where she grew up. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two black labs.
